FOS Energy LLC began as “Fahud Oilfield Services” in 1999 when an initiative of His Majesty’s Government encouraged the development of Omani owned companies in the well services sector. The shareholders of FOS chose Halliburton Worldwide Ltd. as its alliance partner. The Technical Services Agreement was signed in early 2000.

The commencement of a major PDO Pumping Services contract in 2000 by Halliburton and its partner FOS was cited as an 'innovative solution to meet the needs of the Oman Government' and a landmark in the development of independent, wholly Omani-owned well service companies.

In the years of incubation from 2000 to 2003, FOS worked in a unique relationship with Halliburton, by providing (learning) well site services at the highest international standards while developing its own strengths as a local company. During this period, FOS decided to diversify into other areas of oilfield service activity. Success swiftly followed when FOS was awarded the PDO Drill Stem Testing contract in 2001 and a PDO Exploration Well Testing contract in early 2002.

After only four years' operation, FOS had reached a sufficient level of maturity and confidence to initiate a restructuring of its business model. The acquisition of the Halliburton well testing business in Oman established Fahud Oilfield Services as a 100% Omani owned stand-alone business.

FOS completed a successful 7 year well testing contract with PDO in August 2009 and maintained a zero LTI safety record throughout.

A new 5 year well testing contract with greatly increased scope of services was awarded by PDO to FOS in September 2009.

As a part of further business restructuring, FOS changed its name from Fahud Oilfield Services to FOS Energy Limited in May 2010

In September 2013 the PDO Well Testing Contract was renewed for an additional 2 years where we are operating one Truck Mounted Well Test Unit, four x conventional Skid Mounted Well Test Units, five x 48 man Camps and two call out units.

Up to the end of 2013 we have tested 869 wells in Oman under the most severe conditions and maintained an exemplary safety record.
